ABOUT GRBR

bar

The Boulder Gold Rush offers a cycling or running option, both with a very rewarding twist: GOLD NUGGETS.

There will over 100 gold-painted rocks which can be exchanged for awesome prizes like Lucky’s Market gift cards, a REEB bike frame, Pearl Izumi gift certificates, and many more. Nuggets will be distributed throughout the day so everybody has a chance to win!

  • The bike courses offer a phenomenal ride through Boulder County’s most scenic and historic gold mining past. Whether you choose the short or the long course, you’ll be treated to primitive roads, back county climbs, breathtaking (literally) views, and virtually every kind of trail and surface you can expect in the Rockies. You’ll pass by abandoned gold and silver mines, and cruise through the quaint town of Gold Hill. There are 3 timed sections on the bike course, with the majority of the course being untimed. This allows you to ride with friends at your own pace without having to race up the big climbs. Once you’ve crossed the finish line, we’ll be waiting with cold beers, gourmet tacos, and lots of time for you to kick back, relax, and share your good times. This is THE ride of the season for adventurous cyclists looking for an unforgettable day on their bikes.

  • The run course is all about having fun with friends and taking turns running fast 1-mile laps in beautiful North Boulder Park. The team with the most laps in 2 hours wins great prizes! In between laps, eat, drink, enjoy the music, kick back in the shade and be merry. It’s a one of a kind event for all types of runners that sure to be a Boulder-classic
